About Matthew Kollmer
Matthew is a digital humanities scholar and information scientist with a background in U.S. literary history and creative writing. He's also a rare book specialist. He's currently pursuing a PhD in Information Sciences at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He also works as the proprietor of Evening Land Books. He has an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and an MA in Literary Studies from Washington State University. He's taught undergraduate writing courses for a decade. He lives in Illinois with his partner, Kristina, and their Boston Terrier, Sir Francis Bacon. His hobbies include book collecting, computer programming, creative writing, weight training, reading for leisure, and chess.
